Yeah, im just wondering if it is possible to use stealth mode with FlashFXP or if it is still not a option yet.

I heard somthing like that if you put '-' infront of your password that would enable it..but it didnt seem to work for me

Thanks,

thats a command that needs to be supported by the ftp server, has nothing to do with a client

Hi, can anybody explain what the "stealth" command is and what's it good for? First time I've heard of it.
Thanks!

Stealth mode is basically hidding what your doing on the server from other users (not from root users) when a site who is run. (but they can still see your logged in though)

Ummm normally you prefix a password with the "-" character to limit the output text to a single line reply (backwards comaptiblity). It can be handy for slow sites, provided the ftp server supports it.

MidKnight:

I am confused about this "stealth" mode you are talking about. "Stealth" to me refers to any of various methods of hiding your IP. I'm not an FTP owner, so I don't know what this server command [-] does.

How could it be stealthy if the host already has your IP addy?

What is meant by "stealth"?? Just curious.

OK. To me, 'stealth' is when you have a proxy that actual escapes detection from sites scanning for proxies. I also use the 1080 sites for secure FTP.
