link whit xbox hd.... some troubles using flashfxp

hello to all... just a trouble....when i try to connect via rj45 ( ethernet realtek ) x-over cable my xbox flashfxp say no route to host...

i'm using winxp... i've tried to change some config in ehternet.. such as other line speed..( half duplex...full duplex) but no way...


some tips guyz??

Firstly, have you searched the message board ? .. This topic has been covered a few times..

Which build of FlashFXP ?

Which OS ?

Maybe paste your status log/errors, etc

my os are win xp pro--- 512 mb ram...ethernet relatek whit rj45 x-over cable connection...flash are 2.0...and.-.. mhhh...when i try to connect the xbox ( ip 192.168.0.3) via rj45 and i'm in the net...flash search the ip in the net... not via cable..
maybe xp got some bugs...or what...

p.s. i've tryed to search in the forum but i dont find nothing to similar.. ( maybe my pooooooor english are to light to understand some slang... i'm from italy...)

you sure you need to use cross-over cable and not regular one?
what's ip of your lan connection?

thx for reponse me.....yeeep i'm too sure... a rj45 is for connect direct pc to pc ..a non crossorver cable is used by connection whit hub or router.... i'm sure of this...

for my lan connection ..this are the options...


ip 169.254.214.78 ( xbox using 192.168.0.3 )
subnet mask 255.255.0.0
in the option... get automatic ip, alternative private automatic ip...


can i try to be more specific...

change your local ip to 192.168.0.#
# can be any number 1-254 as long as it's not in use.
