Want to connect to a main frame
Noticed it can do it just fine, much like all the other sites.
I need to specify the host type so I can get a file listing on the remote server
How/where is this done?

It's all automatic, if FlashFXP doesn't display the file listing then the list format is unsupported. you need to email support@flashfxp.com with a copy of the listing and the server reply from the SYST command for us to include support.
