Character limit in custom commands

Why is there a limit to the number of characters a custom command can contain? I would like this limit to be higher, because I tend to make commands that do a lot :)

This has been discussed, and is a limit of the current design. This may be addressed at a later time...but no promises

Ok, thanks. I will just have to get used to running a number of custom commands in sequence ;)
