Ok....I recently upgraded to 2.0 after have been using 1.2 for like 2 years(if its not broke dont fix it right?). Well that could not hold more true here. This is a serious problem for me, I need to be able to FXP files back and fourth from passive FTPS. This is a bug in 2.0. This is the problem. In version 1.2, you can take off passive under proxy settings, so that it doesnt affect all FTP connections. Then under the Settings of the FTP itself, you enable alternative download method for the ftp and that fixes it. That way you can connect to a passive ftp and a non passive ftp. Well, In 2.0. It does not work the same way. I dont know what you guys did but. I cant connect to the same ftp in 2.0 as I can in 1.2 with Alternative DL method. Which means, I cant FXP passive to non-passive FTPS anymore because that was the only way to do it. Any help would be great. Hope this gets fixed.

what build of flashfxp are you using?
alternative fxp options were mislabled in earlier 2.0 builds.

alternative fxp has nothing to do with connecting to pasv/non-pasv sites. it affect only FXP.

The Latest one man. 906. And, Thats what im trying to do is FXP. But you have to connect to the sites individualy first, which is connecting to a ftp. It wont let me do it in 2.0 but I can in 1.2? wtf? Im going to have to uninstall 2.0 and go back to my 1.2.

EDIT: This is the error I get trying to FXP.

*ERROR 550 *Data connection must go to same host as control connection*

This code hasn't been changed since v1.4, as for v1.2 no telling. Perhaps we broke something or the settings have changed. It's hard to say based on what you provided us.

What I need is a copy of the status log from both v1.2 and v2.0. By comparing the two logs I can determine what settings need to be set.

As far as passive mode goes, the "Use Passive mode" only effect listing and ftp transfers. not FXP.

To adjust passive mode for FXP transfers you must use "Alternative FXP" exclusively. When enabling this, you need to insure you only enable it for 1 of the sites, the one that needs it, otherwise you cancel each other out.

Techdude, purely based on that error you pasted it seems like that site disabled fxp.
w/o seening complete timestamped and prefixed log it's impossible to say.
