Are you using Passive Mode or Active Mode?

Hmm.. Sorry, I don't know what else it could be. Perhaps someone else has some ideas.

I am having the same problem and am at a complete work stoppage. It began when I registered my copy, now I can't FTP at all because it gives me the message:
Data Socket Error: Connection timed out
I tried my other FTP program and it is working just fine. Anyone know what is going wrong? I need help quick!

paste status log from flashfxp and from ftp client that works
that's the only way to know what you or flashfxp is doing wrong

Might be the flaky firewall that's installed by default in XP? Though passive connections should work anyway...

this is FlashFXP forum.
if you need support with IE, contact Microsoft. if you need help with your ftp server, contact support for it.

I recall someone reporting this problem before, it's a bug in a router/firewall/proxy (I forget which) you need to update the firmware.
