Lets keep a bigstar thought alive from a reply
to a post that is in the eternal hunting fields now:
datfile-autobackup without password use first.
This also relates to the reveal password discussion
elsewhere on the forum (fantasymicks post) but
that thread is closed.
(I don't see a problem to accomodate both security fans
and limitation haters, without having to fiddle with the
commandline in a shortcut)

datfile-autobackup without password use first. This was slipped into build 905 - I suggest you read this thread http://forum.flashfxp.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2200

Okay, I see what you mean and I AM grateful since I was one who
asked for this. In a reply to pathfinder (his system crashed) you mentioned
that autobackup might always be a good idea, with or without a password set.
So my point would be to let the securityfans in a multi-user environment
set the password to protect things and not let all users set protection to
be able to use the backup feature. But I guess that's not your position.
Anyway, my sincere thanks for this feature in the first place.
For those who may find the following line from the Helpfile still
puzzling:
Set application password on startup FlashFXP.exe -pass="<pass>"
--
after you have set password under: Sites, Security, Set password,
in the properties of your shortcut it should read:
C:\progra~1\FlashFXP\FlashFXP.exe -pass="yourpassword"
--
of course when you have installed in Program Files by default.
Hope this helps.

Well the code was already in place to backup non-encrypted data files, after I read pathfinders storry I immediately enabled it.
By design the corruption pathfinder encountered should of never happened. I personally blame the operating system.
