I really can't make this thing work, also it would be quite nice to receive a mail informing me as a regged user that an update is available.. I always find out about (minor or big updates) via other websites... this shouldn't be to hard to setup right ?

making LiveUpdate work, I'll try again tonight and give you the error. There're 3 steps in the LiveUpdate dialog, first two go "fine", third step fails...

On the LiveUpdate dialog check the options button and check the proxy settings. I checked the server logs and I don't see any liveupdate requests from your IP address. If you're using a proxy that would explain it. LiveUpdate server script checks the User-Agent tag and if it's invalid it will give you an error saying forbiden.

Tried 3 times...

Error: 10060: Connection timed out.

Registration verification seems to be OK, then retrieve update information times out...

I'm using a proxy server, else I'm not even connecting to the update server.

Hopefully you'll find something in the logs...

It looks like FlashFXP is unable to connect to your proxy server.

step 2 is shown prior to connection, it's merely a step to inform the user that we validate the registration key.
