Lately ive had trouble with flashfxp's Proxy feature.
I have a site that i can connect to fine, which requires a ident set in flashfxp, which i have.

When i insert a proxy into flashfxp and try to connect, i cant connect and get a error msg saying

530 "*@xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" is not valid for the account specified.
Connection failed

This only happens with a proxy, and was wondering whats wrong.
I have a socks 4 proxy that i use , have passive checked, and no user name/password is required for proxy.
I can use same proxy on a site that doesnt require a ident, and i can connect just fine.
IF you have any suggestions please let me know.

Im using [ FlashFXP 2.0 RC3 Build 878 ]

It's pretty obvious: the IP that the FTP site sees as yours changes to the IP of the proxy. This is an error you're getting from the FTP server because it doesn't recognize the IP for the login/password you provided.

The Ident Server will not work if you're connecting via a proxy. The Ident request is sent to the proxy server and not your computer.

Indeed, I was assuming your proxy server was able to route ident requests and you were getting the error message for other reasons :D

Ok, well, the proxy i use is a proxy i personally setup on another box located at my work. So by your guy's responses im guese the proxy program im using doesnt support or isnt able to reroute the ident request back to my flashfxp, so do any of you guys have any idea what kind of proxy software can do that.

Im using StealthProxy.

A proxy can't do that. you'll need to setup an ident server on the same machine as the proxy.
