On some sites, when you have timed out, FlashFXP displays nothing and continues to show you as connected. You would only get the "connection lost" message when you try to send or receive info from the site.

i have this problem as well, and its because i am a client of an internet connection sharing network..

What exaclty is FlashFXP doing when you encounter the timeout? Perhaps you could include a status log.

FlashFXP will issue a command and wait a maximum of 2min or the value of your "connect timeout" if it's greater, if no reply is received within this period the connection is dropped.

FlashFXP is usually idling when the timeout occurs.

FlashFXP sets the socket option SO_KEEPALIVE, the socket will send keepalives to determine if the socket is still activate, if the socket isn't then it generates an error message. As far as I know nothing more can be done. Apart from sending a command to the ftp server.
