the highest speed i get is 16 kbps.
when i use dap 5 i get my highest speed
but when i download the same file using
flash fxp the speed i get is 2 kbps which after
sometime reduces to 0.8 kbps.
there are many ftp sites which have hidden directories
and which only flashfxp can access... so what should
i do to increase my speed while using flashfxp
plz help!!

One thing I noticed when I was on a slower connection was that my ISP for some reason went faster with more than one thread going at once... this is nothing to do with FFXP but did help me improve my download speed..

So I opened at least 2 FFXP windows and downloaded from 2 copies.. if it be from the same site or from 2 sites, what ever it was faster..

Just food for thought.

P.S. For those of you who will ask why we dont have multi-tread downloads... its not going to happen so dont ask.

Oh you only have 1 file to download ? What im getting at is if you have 2 files going at once,,, different files it sometimes makes the ISP faster... somtimes..

Also, what build of FlashFXP ?

Please insure your copy of FlashFXP is authentic, some websites mirror FlashFXP and provide a modified exe.

If you're not sure please re-download FlashFXP directly from our website http://www.flashfxp.com

i'm using win2k server and ffxp 2.0 rc3 build 875

this question is a bit off topic but plz help
there are many ftp sites of the type like "ftp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/ /tagged /_viti/ incoming/" like there are
spaces in between.
when i try to download a file using dap or flashget they dont work
but ffxp picks them up .
what kind of naming conventions this sites use in their links??
plz guide

you will get no warez help here.
seems like issue with dap and flashget so ask them why they don't support spaces in dir names..

if you have problems with download speed on a single file with any software, not just flashfxp, most likely your tcp/ip settings are messed up. go to www.dslreports.com/tweaks and make sure everything is optimized.
