Ok, I know about that function. And if flashfxp is tempered with, the .dat files will be deleted. What if a virus infected my computer and flashfxp is infected? Does it mean that my .dat files will be gone too? Doesn't that mean the flashfxp is "acting" for the virus and releasing a payload?

Without explaining the our anti-piracy methods in detail all I can say is that it doesn't work that way.

It would be impossible for a virus to cause this type of behavior. By modifying FlashFXP in specific ways the crackers are causing these problems, resulting in things FlashFXP was not designed to do.

Ok. One last question. What does FXP mean? I understand what is FTP. Does it stand for site-to-site transfer?

I'm not really sure but i think that:

FTP: File Transfer Protocol (user-to-site and site-to-user)
FXP: File eXchange Protocol (site-to-site)
