the flash fxp starts up so slow.
is there a problem with the app
or is my pc too slow?

well, what's your pc?
try disabling antivirus
do you have any network drives mapped?

Also, do you have the local window/browser enabled when FFXP is loading ?? .. if so, this will lag FFXP due to your computer gathering all the info for the particular dir which it is trying to browse whilst loading.
