Support for UTF-8 in text editor

Is it possible to edit with an automatic detection for UTF-8 formatted text files ?

'cause I can only see strange char instead of é & è à etc...

You'll need to use an external text editor to edit UTF-8 files such as notepad++, the internal editor doesn't support it.

I use the internal editor to edit phpBB language file for example (I'm French)...

I explored UTF-8 text editing solutions and at the moment its not viable for us to support it.

I've focused on improving support for using and working with external editors in v4.0
