[suggestion] separate threads for left & right pane

it's kinda annoying how when u click the connect button on the left pane while the right pane is doing something, the right pane totally stops. and the 2 servers can't list or login or change dir at the same time, the commands alternate. with slow servers it's very easy to timeout when blocked by the other pane doing something... is it possible to separate the 2 threads so that they can login at the same time, list at the same time, cwd at the same time, etc?
