colour problem

Hi,
i have a problem with changing the colour of the square brackets where the section is
15[09SECTIOND] 14SFV test [46F]

Does anyone know how to change it, if i would like to get something like this
4[09SECTIOND4] 14SFV test [46F]

Ive been editing the config.php but ive stuck. I cant find where is the source of %v variable
