connection timeout and failed are the same thing. there's probably a problem with your account on the ftp server.

The FTP Client(s) is not causing this type of error, since they are just reflecting the inbound msg and telling you according to the protocol what it means.

The ftp simply doesn't work, no matter which client you will use.

make sure that your firewall, if any, is configured correctly.
try to ping/traceroute address of that site and see if that goes thru.

not to be rude, but why then are you posting to the message board? its obviously NOT flashfxp since you said you can get to other servers. sounds like you need to contact some siteops.

Case closed. If you can't access that ftp server with any other ftp client, then your account has been disabled or the ftp server is not running.
Besides, you should contact the ftp admin and see why you can't connect to it anymore.

But since we established it is actually NOT flashfxp, and it couldn't be, no need to continue to ask about it. Since there is no problem with flashfxp. The problem is with you and the ftp server you are trying to connect to. It doesn't have the daemon running, and if others say they can connect, then maybe your account has been disabled. (I have a lot of ftp's where you can only connect to when your IP is in the allow-hosts list; not being on that list will cause an Connection refused.) Maybe your internet service provider has given you new ip range or whatever. Contact the site operator of the FTP.

And, no need to pull attitude :) We 'are' actually trying to help you here.
