Okay, I don't know how to phrase this properly, so I'll give an example.

Say I'm currently downloading from an FTP with no proxy and no PASV in Instance#1.

And then I want to use a proxy to connect to another site in Instance#2.

And maybe, I want to FXP using a proxy in Instance#3. To do so, I'll be setting a different proxy from Instance#2 and also I'll be enabling PASV.

Currently what I know is that FFXP applies any proxy set to all instances of FFXP, as well as PASV mode.

So is it possible for changes to proxies to not affect other copies of FFXP?

you could install FlashFXP into seperate folders for different settings.

Most people seem to like the idea of FlashFXP updating it's settings directly to disk as soon as a change is made, rather then later on exit, And this is the reason why the other settings get applied to the other copies when you access the preferences.

Sounds like a logical idea. Thanks.

(heh actually I was about to suggest that you add an option for saving options direct to disk or not... but I guess thats not necessary now).

depending on the overhead and the changes required we might consider adding an INI setting so that it doesn't reload and only saves on exit.
