I'm on a DSL 512/128 lame connection

My max download speed is 54k/s while max upload speed is 12.8k/s

When I'm downloading from ftps I can easily max my speed to 54k/s. but if I open another instance of flashfxp to upload (to a different ftp) the speed quickly drops and hangs metween 5k/s-10k/s

I thought it could be due to vigorous uploading, but I limited the upload to just 3k/s and I still get a drastic drop in download speed to around 15k/s

Any ideas how to solve this problem?

it shouldn't drop so much. at the same time i don't think it's problem with flashfxp itself.
go to http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks and make sure your connection is in optimal shape.

you dsl or more adsl is asynchrous connection, that mean if you suck out whole upload your download will not go more than upload speed. same is with 2mbit/256kbit connections, only way to fix it, use netlimiter and set max upload to 10kb or use trafic shaping programs like cfosspeed for example

I already limited my upload speed to 1/4 of it's maximum and it's the same!

And I tried that webpage to test my DSL and it was all set up right

I tried with REGET DELUXE and I had no problems with this :(

Go back to the official release, version 3.2 and let me know if you still have this problem.

I've reveresed to 3.2.0 like you said bigstar and that didn't fix my problem still

Limited the upload to 5k/s (with my peek being 13k/s) and I had a drop in the download from 54k/s down to 15k/s

Go to www.speedguide.net and download a small tool called TCPoptimizer. Set the speed to 10000, check "modify all adapters" and "optimal settings". Reboot.

Your TCP settings are now set to max! All speeds should now be improved.

What tweaker are you talking about??
I guess it's also a matter of opinions and personal favourites here... ;)
