bigstar, my question is this... Why would version 2 of FlashFXP work on a machine with this fix applied, and with ZoneAlarm installed, while version 3.x would not? Why would other ftp clients work on the same machine where FlashFXP 3 would not? Logic would lead me to believe that it is a problem with FlashFXP 3.x and not a MS fix, or ZoneAlarm. I have a hard time accepting the logic behind a recommendation to uninstall ZoneAlarm when other ftp clients are working just fine!
