Default Problem with uploading (bad parity??)

I can't seem to upload a 'good' file to any server. Pictures uploaded look pixelated and distorted when viewed. Tried multiple servers including sending via flashfxp from one hard drive to another on my own machine. I wondered if it was maybe an issue with the photos and tried upping a simple mp3 with and sfv file to check the parity. The sfv file checked bad.

I can upload to the same server using the same photo via IE (blegh) and it seems to work fine. Transfer mode is set to Auto as someone suggested trying ascii and binary, neither of which seemed to make any difference.

Any other ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
