Two things come to mind.  The first and most likely is something isn't quite right with the .vfs file.  Since it looks like it's happening at the root level, i.e. /test, it must be the root entry.  Double check the / mountpoint....  If '/test' is a mountpoint double check that entry as well, and/or verify a regular dir in root works OK. 
 
The only other thing is something weird like the root directory got turned into a symlink or something.  Try removing the .ioFTPD file in the root dir and see if that makes the problem go away.
