I cannot seem to copy and paste from the status window?

I was sure I could do this before..

Either by dragging my mouse over the text and pressing control c - or double clicking on the area so I go to a notepad? screen where I can edit / highlight and select copy.

I dunno if this is another stupid XP pro thing that has caught me out.. though maybe you are best to comment.. as I used to use this a lot with my winME box.
