Default regarding encryption with SSL key
I only wonder if I have to make som settings or tell the users to connect in a different way after I have installed the certificates?

Users must use AUTH SSL or AUTH TLS (it depends on what you've chosen) to connect if SSL is enforced. If it's not, they're free to choose between unencrypted and encrypted control and data connections.

If you have problems using SSL, it might also be because unregistered versions of ioFTPD do NOT support SSL
