Default Login takes much time (Hostname Lookup?)

Hi,

i am behind a router. All things are configured correctly. But the login takes much time, looks like a internal hostname lookup or something other.

How can i disable this?

It's most probably the ident lookup.
You can configure the time it will wait for an ident reply in ioFTPD.ini, Ident_Timeout. Or better, you can use an identd on your computer.

I've changed Ident_Timeout to 0 , tried to login from localhost, no problem. Set to 1 it takes 1 sec. longer.

Login from internet takes up to 10-30 secs. if Ident_timeout set to 0 or somethng other, no changes.

What brings using a identd on my computer for me? How to setup?

If you have set the ident timeout to below 5s in your ioFTPD config, it can't be this functionnality that adds 20-30s to login, since that lookup timeout after 5s. My guess is that a script you have OnFtpLogin is hanging.
