Is it possible to connect one ftp to another?

I was wondering if it's possible to connect one ftp to another.
There is a tool here http://www.xdrive.com/explore/upload.jsp
called Skip the Download® Web Grab and i'd like very much
to emulate this somehow.I have access to my own ftp so isn't
it feesible.

ever wonder why FlashFXP is called that?
becuase it support FXP protocol. it allows you to connect to 2 ftp servers and transfer files directly between them bypassing your own connection.

Is that something i should ask my host provider about,basically is that some safety type thing.

This means FXP is disabled. The control connection comes from your workstation but you're trying to make the server use another server (ip address) for the data connection. That's how FXP transfers are working. Some hosts do not allow this.

try alternative fxp mode, if that also doesn't work, you might want to contact site admin to enable fxp..otherwise you are SOL

Just emailed my host provider.I think i might be out of luck though.They got me
on some strange shared ftp/account plan.I'm thinking it's a safety feature.

enabling fxp does have some security implications, tho in order to exploit them one would need to have valid login to that ftp server.
