Default What should I put for Remote Path and Local Path?

I am trying to create a profile in FXP and do not know what some of the things mean which it asks for. Can someone please tell me what I am supposed to put for Remote Path and Local Path? And where do I find those?

Thanks in advance,

Greta

remote path is directory path on the server
local path is directory path on your computer

you don't HAVE to fill these out. Just leave them blank if you don't know what you want there.

I haven't had time to work on this since the 30th. I'm now ready to tackle it and want to make sure I'm understanding everything correctly:

Where it says create new site, and site name, should I put the addy to my entire website or just the page I want to edit?

The IP address is the numbers with the dots.

Port Field. Don't have to do anything here?

User Name. This is another one I don't know what to do. Should I put the same username I use for my website or make a new user name just for this?

Password. The same one I use for my website?

Anonymous. I am going to check that.

Remote path and Local Path - don't fill in.

All help appreciated.

I have all that printed out and in front of me, but I'm concerned that I do not totally understand it and want to make sure I do so I will not make a big mess of it.

For example, in the first box where I'm to fill in the fields (the Site Manager), it asks for Site Name which I think is the addy of my web site. Then it says I will get a dialog window asking me to enter a name for my site (Site Name again). Should those both be the same thing? The URL of my website?

Thanks,

Greta

"Site Name" is just a name you want to give that 'bookmark'
you can name it whatever you want. it has absolutly no relation to URL of your website or any pages on it.
