| Proxy Recommendations - Socks5/SSL? FreeBSD/Linux
Hi, I have been looking all day long for a fairly simple socks5 ssl proxy for FreeBSD/Linux. I need to be able to connect to FTP sites using AUTH SSL or TLS. The current proxy server I have connects to sites using AUTH SSL, but when it goes to open the data connection via proxy, it fails. It responds with the error 522 You have to turn on secure data connection.. I'm assuming the proxy does not fully support SSL data connections. Needless to say, I need to find a new FTP proxy server. My last one was very simple, all that was needed was ./dproxy proxy -r userfile (ex ./dproxy 11411 -r userfile). and it pulled my proxy username and password from the userfile. Very simple, not highly secure in anyway, but im not entirely picky. All that was needed to install the last was ./configure, make, and away I went (no config setup).
btw, the last proxy software I used was called dProxy... and no its not the one that you find on google. I got it from a friend.
Thanks in advance.
