I see, understanding your concern now.
The SFV file format is different from the MD5 format.
Thus it is possible for a "#" to be a preceding character for comments in MD5, while there would be a trouble if a file starting with # in SFV file.  But on the other hand, if a file starts with a ";", I found FlashSFV will just ignore it.
