Just set up a secure directory structure where you only grant access to folders that are part of your ftp.
chattr +h isn't 100% secure. If the .ioftpd file gets deleted people can enter.

Hide Folders XP 2.4.6Publisher's Description:
---------------------------------------------------

Hide Folders XP is a security tool for hiding your sensitive folders from other users. Most everyone has files or folders on their computer that they do not want to share with others. The best way to protect your personal information is to make the folders in which they reside visible and available only to you. It does exactly that, and it does it easily and well.

Latest Changes:
-------------------
Windows Vista support (added in Hide Folders XP 2.4.5)
Now Hide Folders XP works with Windows XP x64 and Windows Server 2003 x64 editions
Bug fix - Windows Explorer sometimes displayed a hidden folder in the tree
New option - Enable protection when the computer is idle
Known issue: Since Hide Folders XP 2.3, the uninstaller will not prompt user to restart the computer after uninstall completed. To finish uninstall completely (e.g. before Hide Folders XP reinstall) you should restart the computer manually
