limit HD space

I'm looking for a script where I can set the space I want to use for ioFTPD

example:

My HD is 200gb, but I want to use only 50gb for iftpd. So when it reaches the 50gb, the users cant upload anymore. So it have to let ioFTPD think there is only 50gb of space instead of 200gb.

I have a similar question.

On my site, users can upload only in their homedir and in pub/incoming.
1) I want to give each user a space limit of, say, 10 mb in their homedir, much in the same way as e-mail accounts are space limited.
2) I want to limit the total capacity of the incoming directory to e.g. 5 Gb.
3) I want users to be unable to upload any data at all if there is less than 500 Mb of free space on my hard disk.

I'm relatively new to ioFTPD, so it might be possible that there are ways to configure ioFTPD to do these things, without using scripts. If so, I would be very happy to learn how.

ioFTPD doesn't allow it by itself... you must get a script for this.

Use the quota functionality that's built into Windows, although the drives will have to be NTFS.

For point 3, Mouton wrote a simple script which is available on the old script page (I guess he hasn't reposted it, yet).

As for points 1 and 2, I'm not aware of any script which provides this functionality.

My personal preference for limiting capacity is to partition.
With the tools available these days (personally a fan of acronis, but theres lots to choose from) its very easy and safe.
