I have never seen anything like this with pzs. The only thing that comes to mind is too many files in single *.sfv - the default is 120, I think... can be increased in config.h

Hmm. Could you send me (privately) the .ioFTPD.debug, .ioFTPD.message, .ioFTPD.sfvdata and .ioFTPD files from such a broken directory? And maybe also the *.sfv file?

As I said, I have never seen such behavior, so I am not sure if I will be able to help you, but I can at least try.
