Spider - removing valid symlinks?

I'm not sure what exactly is going on however I do see the results.

newdate creates newdated folders in mp3 and I have a symlink "todays-mp3" in my root dir. Sometime after newdate event, todays-mp3 symlink gets deleted, along with any MP3 symlinks created in MP3-SORTED, it's like something is removing all my symlinks on the entire site. Even lastest upload symlink is removed.

I'll run site newdate, get the symlinks created, then I will run site spider and will find the symlinks still there. However, every morning when I wake up all the symlinks are gone.

Any suggestions would be great, as I need to fix this silly problem.

I have two sites, 1 sorting and symlinks work fine, the other I have explained above. Both are similar configurations and I just don't see what I am missing.
