Question Trial version not opening chosen editor

Hi,

New to FlashFXP and so far just on functionality alone this seems to be a huge success for me. I'll be ditching CuteFTP as soon as i get a reply on why I can't choose a default editor from the preferences menu and have it actually work?

Additionally, i'd like to offer your product to my clients - any affiliate or reseller programs?

Thanks for your time,

Ryan:

Default

There appears to be some confusion with this feature, the default viewer and editor is used when there is no windows file association or internal file association to edit or open a file.

To override the windows file association for a file type you need to define a custom file association within FlashFXP (Options > File Associations)

For example to open php type files with a custom program you would create a new association entry, then add *.php as the file mask and then set Open with to your custom application and then check the following options that apply and click the save button.

We do have an affiliate program, please see the following page for more information

Absolutely fantastic - love the software, flexibility and attention to detail. Things work exactly as you described in the above directions.

As promised - purchased.

Look forward to future enhancements and additional products - especially a mac release if its even possible.

Thanks,

Ryan
