Default [Solved] "Can't prepare for resuming" uninstall error

PROBLEM

Error: "Can't prepare for resuming" when attempting to remove/uninstall FlashFXP v3.4 from Windows 2003 Server. Same error using 1) Windows Add or Remove Programs; 2) uninstall.exe from program directory; 3) deleting all registry entries, reinstalling and then re-removing fails; 4) running in diagnostic mode with minimum services.

SOLUTION

Uninstall the program by re-running the setup.exe program in the source directory from which the program was originally installed, and then selecting "Uninstall FlashFXP".

This uninstall error occurs when the FlashFXP installation is corrupted in a way that prevents it from completing.

As you pointed out re-running the setup.exe is another way to uninstall FlashFXP if all else fails, in addition the setup.exe can also be used to repair the existing installation.

Thank you

We have determined that the error message "Cannot prepare for resuming" can occur during installation if the C:\ drive or the drive containing the %TEMP% folder does not have enough free space.

Thanks. But in this case, 20 GB free on C:\drive. And problem was uninstall, not install.
