My session times out trying to list directories

Previous problem fixed, new problem now :/
When i try to download a file form a server of mine it says:

[R] 150 Opening BINARY mode data connection for (file name)
[R] 426 Connection closed: Connection timed out.

What can i do to fix this?

I am also wondering how to switch between the PASV and PORT mode, because i see that quit a bit in different forum posts.

To switch between PASV and PORT, go into your site manager, select the site in question, and change the 'data connection mode' settings on the 'options' tab.

Also you should post a proper session log, including ip's (you can * out the last few numbers), as this can often help in resolving transfer issues.
