Setting up ftp server

Hi guys I hope you guys are kind, but if not I can handle it. My buddy and I are trying to set up file transfer so I can access his computer to download files. I used his info but it doesn't connect, so I was trying to set a test one up at home. Is it possible to setup a ftp server in your own network of computers? I tried to use my ip address on my wife's computer but the connection failed. So if someone would like to help me get started I sure would appreciate it........thanks.......two-dogs

FlashFXP is an FTP CLIENT. You use it to connect to FTP SERVERS.
You can not connect one FlashFXP to another FlashFXP.

Thanks MxxCon my bad I guess I have a lot to learn. So I guess we will have to use something else, all we were trying to do is download his movies and software off his computer to mine.........thanks for your time..........two-dogs
