As everyone as probably noticed the last couple of days brought a new lot of forum images buttons icons etc.

Even the editor didn't escape the onslaught.

There are a couple of things you can do to help us in this transition.

1. Clear your browser cache so that new images are reloaded.
2. Report any unruly behaviour if you notice any images not loading or unexpected.

Notes:
I'm debating on improving couple of smilies (exclam, question, idea)
Other images will be updated as and when they are completed about 95% are already done and 94.9% have updated been already updated and are in use.

Hi,

glad to see a first unicode test version.

When I access my Media player, directory names with special characters (see also attached image) are not displayed correctly, eg.

Emmanuelle Béart = Emmanuelle Béart
Gérard Depardieu = Gérard Depardieu
Gert Fröbe = Gert Fröbe

Therefore deleting or accessing these folders fails

• Unicode support for translations and all user interfaces dialogs and text.

• Full UTF-8 support for remote servers.

• Full support for converting non-UTF-8 remote server content to UTF-8. The server character encoding can be set via the Site Manager.

• New memory based caching system for remote server directory listings.

• This version of FlashFXP is compiled with Delphi 7 while previous versions were compiled with Delphi 4.

• All data files used by v5.x use a updated data format that is not backwards compatible with previous versions. Specifically all data files are now UTF8 encoded.

• The .fqf (FlashFXP queue file format) has changed in v5.x, The format has been optimized to reduce the overall file size and it now uses UTF8 encoding. The new format is not backwards compatible.

• The .ftp (FlashFXP Site XML Export format) has changed, additional site settings are now included in the export, This format does not export all site profile settings.

• The .fbk (FlashFXP backup file format) has changed, backups created by v5.x should not be restored to previous versions of FlashFXP.

Known issues (work in progress)

Issue: File names retrieved from remote servers may appear incorrect using the default character encoding.

Please adjust the character encoding via the Site Manager and see if the issue is resolved, re-connecting and refreshing the directory listing may be required. if not please contact us and let us know.

Issue: The internal text editor is unfinished and incomplete, it may corrupt or damage any documents created or saved. We do not recommend using the internal text editor for anything other than testing and only for testing non-critical files that you have back up copy's of.

Workaround
Use a different text editor. A custom text editor can be defined via the Preferences and/or File Associations dialog.

Issue: Language translations. Some languages were imported from FlashFXP v4 and may contain mistakes or errors that may result in unknown problems.

This is a very early test release of FlashFXP that introduces full Unicode/UTF8 support. What this means is that all user interface text is rendered using Unicode, allowing non-locale languages to be displayed in FlashFXP. i.e. use Russian on Chinese OS, etc. Remote server file listings are rendered from UTF8, or if the defined server character set uses a specific code page and doesn't support UTF8 the code page is converted to UTF8 for display. The local browser file names are native Unicode which are then converted to UTF8 or the server character set when uploading files.

When running the scheduler it won't skip files that are the same size, only overwrite works (won't even "resume") if I enable "When asked...". It seems the rules are ignored by the scheduler. If I load the queue file and transfer it the File Transfer Rules does kick in.

Guys i really have a bad problem with my connection to my ftps in order to having send and receive.
Well im persian and my government has been blocked all proxies recently besides they limited the speed of ssl and tls and the worst part is the speed of my connection goes to 0 kb after 1 min for both send and receive and without SSL.


Do you know any idea how to fix this? or where should i change? this problem is for all servers,online apps and online games but for http and web is fine.

I've recently purchased FlashFXP and there are a few questions I'd like to ask.

1. How does the licensing system work? I've read that you can use it on three computers you own, but on the site there is the possibility to create a new retail key. Can you use the first key to activate the other 2 copies, or do you have to create a key for each, including a portable copy? If yes, is it possible to deactivate a key, in case you move a local installation to an other pc?

2. I have a website, which I'd like to back up weekly. Is there a way to download only the changed files, delete non-existing files from the local copy, i.e. a synchronize directories feature?

3. I see that while uploading, FlashFXP sets file dates according to the local copy. Is there a way to turn this off, i.e. just have the upload date as the file date?

Hi Everyone. I'm pretty new at all that so I hope to understand the problem.
The problem I'm having is with the uploading files via Flashfxp to my clients servers.
Now, it's happens in all of my servers.

What I'm doing to upload a file:
- I start up the program and connect to the server I desire (Sometime it takes a bit of time to login but it dose login)
- Locating / Navigating to the folder I want to upload the file to.
- Droping the files I want and clicking the "Play" button.
(Now, on the right down box where is all the quotes it's showing what he dose)

And the problem start there by getting sucked in:
It shows me that it failes by red color text
And then it kinda resetting the connection and uploading it again by it self
but it's not uploading completely all just few and if all it's damage files like not all their data.

I did a test by uploading via FileZilla and it seems to be working fine.
But I want my Flashfxp to be working properly.
I know it's not a server problem because I talked to my provider.

Please help me.

I am using a registered 4.3.0 1937 on Server 2008 R2.

When I transfer a file from one FTP site to another using FXP, the transferred file does not retain the correct 'date modified' information. For example, if the actual 'date modified' is today at midnight, it will change to today at 5am, 5 hours in the future.



This does not seem to happen with regular transfers; only when using FXP. The time on both FTP servers as well as the time on the computer running FlashFXP all match, so I don't know why it is doing +5. I plan to do nightly transfers, and whether or not something gets overwritten is dependent on file size and date modified, so I'm worried that this will hinder those transfers.
