pos-install bot configuration

hello!
I have installed the eggdrop in my server
I have the newest ioFTPD R version with ioBanana and ioA.

I want configure an irc channel to take all info from my ioftpd, about releases, changes, free space and a lot of things more.

but I never did nothing like that! (sorry)
my ioftp are working fine and very good. I instaled the windrop and this is working fine at the first time (I set up my username as "admin" and my pass to "1234" but when I try loggin again:

What are u trying to do..... logging in to the partyline or ioftpd??
and are u using ssl???

1. telnet isn't a good idea. Prefer dcc chat connections.

2. How and where did you create your "admin" account ?
What hostmasks have you added to this account ?
Are you allowed to join the partyline ? You need the +p flag.

I just follow the script steps, they say to conect or via irc or via telnet, I conected at the first via telnet and it ask my pass.
like the eggdrop say I put "NEW", and after that it ask me to insert a new username, I put "admin" and after it ask a pass I put "1234".

I conected and I can use the .help and the others commands, but if i close the conect and try connect again via telnet with NEW or admin I cant.

and... how I conect via irc?

I fixed the last problem but now im conected in the irc and did /msg mybot hello, setup an pass, but i cant dcc chat with my bot, still "Waiting for acknowledgement...".

any help?

Is your bot behind a router ? In which case you'll have to setup your firewall and your bot so they both know what ports the bot is going to use.

You can create your master account on the bot when it's run for the first time in -m mode. Once it's created, you should .save the user database and restart the bot without the -m mode (-nt is usually required by the sitebots).

now I can log via telnet and do all comands but in the dcc chat still not working.
