Default 5.6.x - eating resources

I'm currently running a test server for 1 of sites i admin for on my pc with 56k connection (super fast site. Heheh).
Using 5.5.6, working perfect with latest ioA and ioBanana.
I switched to 5.6.2 but everytime I got disconnected form the net my system became very sluggish and via task manager tracked it down to ioFTPD.exe using 70% + of CPU, so went back to 5.5.6.
Have recently had another go with 5.6.3 and still the same thing.
Dont know if this is really a big issue (not many people will be using ioFTPD with dial up ), but certainly does seem to be something amiss.

There's a bug in readline routine, which might cause it to get in stuck to infinite loop :\ it's fixed in coming build
