this happens all the time on this User.. i have to change IP manually through the files,

Happens when passwd file is out of sync...
Try cleaning \cache\ dir and restarting io...
make sure the user is listed correctly in passwd file.
If that doesn't work, del him and re-add him. should fix it.

I don't think its that. Its more like you cannot add IPs to master users using SITE addip. Its probably an inbuilt security measure to avoid abuse of master accounts by other master account holders. Just like how you can't add the M flag to a user by SITE CHANGE FLAGS.

Edit: I had the exact same problem. I had 5 master users and I couldn't add IPs to ANY of them, but I could add IPs to ALL other users by SITE addip. That is the evidence that led me to the conclusion above.
