Off the top of my head perhaps the FTP server it doesn't support LIST -al

LIST -al is used to show all files (including hidden files).

Site Manager > Select site profile > Options Tab

Change these two settings to the following values:
List Command > LIST
List Parameters > Default

Now connect to the FTP server, this should resolve the problem.
